How to Use Client Testimonials to Get More Interior Design Clients

Client testimonials are one of the most effective ways to attract new clients to your interior design business. When potential clients see positive feedback from others who have worked with you (and look a bit like the), it builds trust and makes them more likely to reach out.

To make the most of testimonials, choose those that highlight specific aspects of your work that align with your design principles. For instance, if you focus on sustainable design, a testimonial could mention how you used eco-friendly materials to create a beautiful and functional space. These testimonials should be strategically placed on key pages of your website, such as the homepage, services page, and contact page.

Or if you want a testimonial for a certain part of the design process, let's say the intake, you can ask them right after the intake: would you mind, writing a few words on how you experienced this intake, as it might help others similar to you to make a decision like you did.

Don't be shy to ask for testimonials. If you've done a great job, clients are more than willing to help you. Make sure you ask them some questions, to guide them in a direction of writing a testimonial. What also works well, is when they something really great during one of your conversations with them, if it's okay for them if you'd put that quote on your website. Make sure they approve what you wrote down before publishing.
